Wednesday Morning

I slept… Emerson slept… ahhhhh – a new day. I came in this morning to find Eme wide awake & mouthing for “ice” (water). She’s remains intubated but looks much better this morning. I’m guessing the new antibiotic mixture is doing its job! Already her cultures are growing gram negative organisms but it’ll be a few days before we have any final identification on what, exactly, it is. At that time they can narrow down her coverage to exactly what she needs… looks like they “guessed” right though. She's on Colistin, Tobramycin, & Linezolid.

Emerson needed some fluid boluses overnight to help with her pressures, but otherwise maintained pretty well. Her blood sugars have been all over the place – high & low – and they continue to correct electrolyte imbalances this morning. All in all, though, the news is good! She’ll have a CT scan this morning… I’m hoping the breathing tube can come out today.

I'm sorry to hear Miss E has not awoke/awaken....its late ;) .... from her OR visit. I will continue to pray for your family. Praying for wisdom, discernment, peace and understanding. I also pray the "right" people are placed in your path. I hope you can find some peace during this difficult time.

Yay for the antibiotics kicking in and doing what they are supposed to do: make Eme feel better and let her gather new strength!
Best wishes for further improvement and a happy return to the beach or your family house in the very near future.

Hey, We really are very happy to hear about Emerson's improvement this morning that we all in the world sure pray so harder for her recovery sooner! Glad both of you slept through whole night, very well. Thanks Lord leading you to sleep like a beauty as well as Emerson was, too! Angels made sure comforting her and you into beauty sleeps very well...

Now we need to pray for Emerson's release from the hospital sooner to enjoy for her brothers to start school she can come along with you. The boys need you to be there. What grades will your boys be this fall? When do the school start up there?
